Charity Ball & Gala DJ — Dorset & Hampshire
Elegant entertainment for fundraisers, black-tie galas and charity balls — the right tone from arrival to close, with a professional presence throughout.
Elegant from the first guest to the last dance
Charity balls and galas have a running order to respect: arrival drinks, dinner, speeches, an auction or raffle, and then a party that rewards guests for their generosity. I have DJed events like these for years and know how to hold a sophisticated tone early, support the organisers through the formal part of the evening, and then fill the floor when the room is ready.
What I bring to a fundraiser
- Background music through drinks and dinner that sits under conversation
- Wireless microphones and audio support for speeches, auctioneers and presentations
- Walk-up and sting music for awards, prize draws and pledge moments
- A dance floor set that suits a black-tie crowd — classy, familiar, and building through the night
- Professional appearance and conduct appropriate to formal venues
- Public liability insurance and PAT-tested equipment
Working with committees and organisers
Most charity events are run by volunteers or a small committee juggling a lot. I make the entertainment side simple: one contact, a clear quote, early arrival, liaison with the venue and no surprises on the night. If a compere or auctioneer is involved I will coordinate cues and timings with them directly.
Venues and areas
I play galas and fundraisers at hotels, country houses and function venues across Bournemouth, Poole, the New Forest, Southampton, Winchester and the wider Dorset and Hampshire area.

FAQs
Charity & Galas — common questions
Can you provide the microphone and sound for the charity auction and speeches?
Yes. Wireless microphones and PA for speeches, auctioneers and presentations are included, and I will coordinate cues with your compere or auctioneer.
Do you offer a reduced rate for charity events?
Every event is quoted individually. Tell me about the charity, the venue and the format, and I will always try to help where the diary allows.
What kind of music works for a black-tie gala?
Early in the evening, soul, jazz-influenced and mellow house that sits under conversation; later, familiar floor-fillers across the decades. I read the room and adjust the energy to the crowd.
Are you insured for hotel and country-house venues?
Yes. Public liability insurance and PAT certificates are available in advance for your venue or committee.
Reviews
What clients say
““Adam delivered a great set for us at the festival. He built the energy nicely as the crowd filled in and kept people engaged throughout. Everything ran smoothly and he was easy to work with from start to finish. Solid performance and we’d happily have him back again.””
““We booked Adam for our wedding and he honestly made the evening. He kept everything flowing, played exactly what people wanted without it turning into a cheesy request fest, and the dancefloor was full from the first song. Couldn’t fault him.””
“Thanks for getting everyone up dancing for two years straight — the energy you bring behind the decks has been a huge part of what Post is.”
